What do AHC do?
AHC provide a high-quality cleaning service to a wide range of businesses throughout the Huddersfield and Halifax area.
Who is behind AHC?
AHC is owned and managed by Angela Lawson and Hilary Wilson. Whilst always remaining professional, the two women have built a reputation for being a friendly, owner-managed company and they are often seen visiting the clients themselves to ensure customers are entirely happy with the service. How does it work?
After one of the management team have been to do a free no-obligation quote on your premises, we will discuss your contract with you. This includes a brief schedule of what you'd like cleaning, the number of hours you would like to be cleaned and which days/times suit you and your business. Then we will bring one of our highly experienced and reliable members of staff to be introduced to you, before thoroughly going through the schedule with them and setting them on their way. Regular quality control visits will take place to ensure both you and the cleaner are happy with the work that is being done and should the member of staff have an absence, a cover cleaner will be supplied so that your requirements are still met with as little disruption to your service as possible.
Who supplies the cleaning materials & equipment?
This can be negotiated during the initial consultation. AHC can provide supplies and equipment for your cleaning needs, or you can maintain the control of these areas yourself - whatever suits you best.
Is all of your electrical equipment PAT tested?
Yes. All of our electrical equipment goes through annual PAT testing.
Can you provide a quote over the phone?
Unfortunately, no. It's almost like trying to give a haircut over the telephone - without seeing your property first-hand, it is very difficult for us to determine how much work there is to do. We much prefer to meet with you face-to-face so that you can get to know us, whilst we discuss your cleaning needs with you in person.
What is your hourly rate?
Similar to the above question, it's very difficult to provide an hourly rate as each clients needs are different. To arrange for us to come and give you a quote, please ring us 01484 541723.
Are you an agency?
No. All of our staff are fully employed by us, which means they are on our payroll and are covered by our insurance.
Are you insured?
Yes, AHC have a combined liability insurance of up to £5,000,000 for public liability insurance and £10,000,000 for employers liability insurance.
Are all your staff trained?
Yes. All of our staff are given health & safety training at the start of their employment with us, followed by regular training within several different areas, including product and equipment use and the best cleaning practices.
Do you vet your staff?
Yes. Before we employ a member of staff, we ensure we have two appropriate references, as well as proof of address and entitlement to work in the UK. If the member of staff is working within an area such as a school or a doctors surgery, they will also hold a current DBS.
What do we do if we have a problem?
As well as regular visits from a member of our management team, we are also in contact with our clients regularly via telephone or email. With an approachable team at the AHC HQ, you will be reassured to know that your problem will be dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner.
